Cerus Markets MetaTrader 5 (MT5) shows the time in the platform's server time, which is based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+2). Our trading day starts and ends at midnight (00:00 & 24:00) server time.
However, you can adjust the time displayed on your MetaTrader 5 platform to your local time zone. Here's how you can do it:
1. Go to Tools > Options: In the MetaTrader 5 platform, navigate to the "Tools" menu and select "Options."
2. Select the "Charts" tab: Within the Options window, locate and click on the "Charts" tab.
3. Adjust the "Shift" value: In the Charts tab, you'll find a setting labeled "Shift." This setting allows you to shift the displayed time on the charts by a certain number of hours.
4. Calculate the time difference: Determine the time difference between your local time zone and the server time displayed on MetaTrader 5. For example, if your local time is GMT+3 and the server time is GMT, you would enter "3" in the "Shift" value to adjust the time display accordingly.
5. Apply the changes: Once you've entered the appropriate shift value, click "OK" to apply the changes. The time displayed on the charts should now reflect your local time zone.
Keep in mind that adjusting the time on the MetaTrader 5 platform only affects the display of time on the charts and does not impact the actual trading activities or server time. Additionally, make sure to verify the accuracy of the adjusted time by comparing it with your local time to ensure it reflects the correct time zone.
